Solo DK's Rex+Supreme(ranger) Guide for best gps

Hey guys this is my first guide, I'm gonna do my best to explain what i do and how to make easy bank on your own.


Recommended stats:

85+ att/str/def
80+ magic
Piety


Must Have: Trident


Gear set ups:

1)

Head: Guthans helm (+slayer helm/black mask if on task)
Cape: Fire Cape
Neck: Amulet of the damned(heals you over full hp in guths)>fury>glory
Main Hand: Trident
Body: Guthans
Off Hand: Crystal Shield>DFS>Obby
Legs: Guthans
Gloves: Barrows
Boots: Bandos>dragon
Ring: RING OF WEALTH!!!!!
Spec Wep: D Hally (the quest is easy just do it)



Inventory: Trident, Guthans spear, d hally, 1 stam pot(frees up space for hally to spec right away and saves a ton of time), 2 super combats, 8-9 brews, 10-11 super restos, 2 relleka tabs(revert one), 2 sanfew serums.

(No rune thrownaxe, read why below)

Ring of wealth helps with ring/d axe/seercull drops here so definitely use it.





Onto the guide.

So basically its all about killing the 2 with the best drops and leaving the mage cos he's a bitch to kill and drops shite.

You should know how to get to the Dk's caves, if not look at guide on youtube or something.

Finding a door partner:

Go in Dk's CC under minigames and ask or ask in cc for a "dp"  

Reason not to bring axes as mentioned above
1) Some idiot has brought them for you, thanks for the saved slot
2) There is a door trick you can use


The Door Trick:

So you need a partner to get in anyway because theres these door that need 2 people to open them, and theres 3 sets of doors. Open the standard door on the left of the 3 first with your mate then quickly run to the middle door and open that. Now one of you go down the middle and the other has to run to the left door you opened first. If you go down the middle route pray mage, left route pray melee. Now one of you can attack the door support with the trident and you do the same for your mate or just hit it with your whip, or if your feeling evil, be a complete dick and leave him there once he's opened the door for you

Starting off:

Now just before you get to the rock lobster path just before the DK's room, pray melee and heal up in your guths(drop a potion or drink the rest of your stam for space) cos you probably took damage, and if you're using amulet of the damned, overheal just like you would with a sara brew til ur 10hp above max(thats what the amulet bonus does) and save your brews for when your in there.

now go down and make your way to the dks, praying melee until the last rock lob then switch to mage. Before you go down the ladder to the DK's MAKE SURE sure PROT MAGE is  ALWAYS on whilst you're in there AND DONT LET IT DROP, EVER! Wield your d hally, turn on the spec and sip a super combat and sanfew before the ladder. Go down and check if the world is free/crashable, turn on piety and spec out the dagannoth supreme(ranger) once specced, equip your whip and shield and finish him, keep piety on for the whole duration of the fight, drink your brews if u fall below 40 hp.

Once killed, you can do 2 things:

1) You most probably took a few hits and have to heal with guths to save brews for when you need them, attack spinylops on the side til your 90+ hp as long as the rex isnt attacking you(and turn off piety). once you have 90+ hp equip your trident and safespot the rex(watch a youtube guide if you don't know how).

2) You have 80+ hp and can afford not to heal, or the rex is on you and you have to lure him to safespot to stop him(also if the rex is on you, you can just go up the ladder, wait a sec and go down to finish of the supreme and the rex will probably have walked away but sometimes he come just as your finishing the kill).




The Rotation:

Equip the trident and lure the rex into one of the many safespots. Also take advantage to guthan heal off the buggers on the side of the arena without jeopardizing your safespot from the rex whenever you can.

Once the rex is dead, if you have less than 90 hp i recommend you brew up, resto back to normal stats and super combat up to max(dont guth up now or the rex might spawn and own you while fighting the ranger). Equip your hally, put it into the str setting turn on spec then piety, run over to the ranger spec him then put on whip and shield and finish him.

Now is your time to heal off the buggers on the side as the rex is pretty oblivious. Once full put your trident on long range and lure him to a safe spot.


Rinse and Repeat.





You should get about 25-30 kills per trip and on average i get 1 drop per trip and lasts 60-90 mins

Pick up the dagonnoth bones when you can and bury the spare ones as they're decent pray xp and sell for even more, but if they drop food bury the extra bones you have to make space for the munch to save your combat stats from the brews.

I'd say Blessed Spirit Shield over obby shield for sure but this is a great guide. Very well explained. Keep up the good work.

Not a bad guide but the ring of wealth does nothing but remove empty drops from the rare drop table which means....it only helps with getting nothing drops. It will remove nothing drops so when you access the rare drop table you are more likely to get an item such as shield half, rune spear etc.
